Client brief Located in Jiangsu Province, the villa takes inspiration from the famed nearby Lake Tai, with an elegant central courtyard featuring a series of water features, swimming pools, and planted areas, which visually echo the interior spaces which surround it. Combining modernist aesthetics and concepts with Eastern ideas of refinement and scenic discovery, designer Zhang Haihua has created an interior which synchronizes with natural elements and re-imagines the spirit of ancient China.
