About

The TSA liquid rule places restrictions on how much liquids, aerosols, gels, lotions, and pastes people can pack in their carry-on luggage when flying. This regulation forbids the carrying of hazardous items into aircraft in order to promote aviation security. By following the TSA liquid rule, travellers are permitted to pack a quart-sized bag with liquids, aerosols, gels, creams, and pastes. 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) or less of the liquid, aerosol, gel, cream, or paste must fit in each container. The clear, plastic, quart-sized bag must be sealable.
