Step 3: Rub/scrub the lemon and salt over the outside of the copper vessel slowly to remove black/green oxidation. Don’t rub too hard and gently squeeze the lemon so that lemon juice will mix with salt.

OR

Take a clean, soft cloth, dip it into the juice, and then rub it on the copper item.

Step 4: Now, to clean the copper bottle from the inside, pour hot water, salt, 2 lemon slices, and vinegar into the bottle.

Step 5: Close the lid and shake the contents inside the bottle vigorously and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. This will loosen any dirt or grime that has built up inside the bottle.

Step 6: Once you have effectively cleaned the inside and outside of the bottle, rinse with water and pat dry with a clean cloth.

Note: It is important not to let the salt sit on the copper for long because this can cause a reaction and dark spots may appear on the item. Keep on rubbing the salt with either a cloth or a light brush.

Tamarind: Tamarind is a popular fruit in many parts of the world, and it is also known for its ability to cleanse and polish copper.
