Godrej Interio in association with Design Dekko and ScooNews today hosted an engaging webinar: The Future of Learning Spaces. The webinar saw luminaries from education and design sector deliberate on the future of education in the post COVID-19 period.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India released an SOP for partial reopening of Schools for students of 9th to 12th classes on a voluntary basis, for taking guidance from their teachers.

From 21st September 2020, this would involve phase-wise and partial resumption of activities in schools for students of classes. In the light of the same leading names of the industry discussed the various challenges and plausible design interventions necessary to facilitate a safe environment for teachers and students.

The panel was moderated by Dr. Arunabh Singh, Director at Nehru World School, Ghaziabad and Chairperson for FICCI ARISE Western UP. The panelists were:

1. Dr Swati Popat Vats, President, Podar Education Network and President, Early Childhood Association (ECA) and Association for Primary Education & Research (APER)
2. Sameer Joshi, Head - Workspace Research, Market & Ergonomics, Godrej Interio

The panel discussed the various challenges faced by the teachers and students, while acknowledging the resilience and agility shown in the times of a national lockdown. During the session, Godrej Interio also unveiled two whitepapers - Re-imagine Learning Spaces and Health Hazzards faced by Teachers.
